Venue Change August 29th

Posted in General on Tuesday, August 24th, 2010

Just an update to all our members, Thank you for your continued patience and support.

I would like to take this time to explain the current situation at Toronto Motorsports Park.  TMP’s ownership feels that because it’s an election year and a certain elected official has put some heat on the facility, they have requested that TMP apply for an amendment to their current zoning.  We were informed of this late Saturday afternoon, that without the amendment in place TMP could be hit with a $6000 fine.  CMX & TMP have decided to scratch the season at TMP.  We are going to have a re-opening in the Spring of 2011. I also recognize that our 2010 schedule has minimum Northern exposure, we also try to keep to scheduled dates operational.  Citing these reasons CMX is excited to announce that Sunday August 29th we will be attacking the dirt at Burnt River.  There will be an open practice on Saturday, more details to follow.

We have almost finalized another new venue for our lost September at TMP.  I hope to make that announcement very soon.

Again thank you for your patience and understanding as we continue to improve CMX
